WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE GROUNDED?

To be grounded is to be fully present in your physical body.

Your energy feels very centred and present.

You are functioning in the now time rather than your energy being stuck in the past or worried about the future.

When you are well-grounded, feelings like anxiety and stress disappear. Your breathing also slows and you feel calm and centred. This is so good for your physical health, your emotional health and spiritually too.

If you’re not grounded, you can feel anxious, stressed, emotional and even unsafe at times, your mind is wandering, you may daydream and subconsciously you can feeling really ‘spaced out’ and your energy body is really scattered.

Being grounded is an energy state. When we are grounded, our energy is fully rooted in our body through our awareness and our presence.

We all become ungrounded sometimes from time to time. If you find that you are feeling ungrounded, disconnected and scattered, then don’t worry because you can really quickly ground yourself.

SO HOW DO I GROUND MYSELF?

A really easy way to ground your energy to the Earth is to visualise roots growing out of the soles of your feet and spreading deep into the Earth. Really visualise those roots going deeper and deeper and spreading far and wide into the Earth. You can then draw that energy from the Earth right up through your chakras (energy centres) in your body and right up through your chakra column starting with your base chakra, your sacral chakra, your solar plexus chakra, your heart chakra, your throat chakra, your brow chakra and your crown chakra. Draw that beautiful energy up from Mother Earth right up through all of your chakras and right out of the top of your crown chakra (which is placed on the top of your head).

Keep sending that energy up until you connect with the Universal Source energy, then INTEND (intention is vital in any sort of energy work or spiritual work) that you are connected to the Universal Source energy and draw that energy back down through the crown chakra, the brow chakra, the throat chakra and into your heart chakra. You are then connected to Heaven and Earth.

An even easier way to ground yourself is to walk barefooted on the Earth, you can even stamp your feet as you INTEND you’re being grounded.

Clicking your fingers around your aura is another really quick way to bring all parts of your energy back into the now time.

Crystals are another really really useful tool for grounding yourself. I like to use Black Tourmaline and I can recommend a lovely lady who sells the most amazing crystals. Her name is Mojo and her Facebook page is Mojolistic – Crystals with Mo Prowse

I often use essential oils and essences for grounding myself. I use Astral Clear which is a really high vibrational essence and something every energy worker should have in their tool kit, but even if you’re not an energy worker it’s lovely as it really lifts your mood, your energetic body and your aura. It smells gorgeous and there are loads of ways you can use it. You can inhale it, dab it on your wrists, rub it into the palms of your hands and dab it on your chakras (they are the energy centres in our body) or you can apply it to your aura. I will do more in video form explaining these things in the future.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GROUND MYSELF?

I ground and protect myself every morning and I sometimes ground myself again throughout the day if I feel I need to.
